#1 Get Rid of Facial Redness with Primer
Red blotches on the face can be hard to cover. Unfortunately, a lot of women end up using way more foundation than they need, giving them that over-baked look. At Face to Face, we have a great tip for getting rid of all types of redness caused by skin concerns such as acne and rosacea. Use a green primer over the red area before applying foundation. It’s as easy as that. The green will cancel out the redness and allow for a more even look.
#2 Apply Your Cream Highlighter Underneath Your Foundation
Contouring has become a huge global trend. This make-up technique helps you to define and enhance your facial features and could help you look flawless. The trick is to apply the cream, highlighter, blusher and bronzer underneath before applying a thin layer of foundation on top. The contouring and foundation should look natural. You want to be able to see your pink cheeks under the foundation.
#3 Use the Colour Wheel
Many women get their colours wrong, and we can hardly blame them. One of the greatest make-up techniques is to be able to identify skin undertones and to know how to cancel them out using the colour wheel. Here’s how it works: opposite colours such as red and green cancel each other out. So, if you’re struggling with a red face, then you would hide it best by using a green toned foundation or a green primer. Google the colour wheel chart and start learning how to identify your undertones and hide those imperfections the right way.
#4 Grow Back Those Over-Plucked Brows by Using Castor Oil
Some women over-pluck their brows. In fact, some have gone so far that they remove everything. It happens all the time, but it’s okay because they grow back. However, if you want them to grow a little faster, simply dab them with castor oil every night before bed. Rich in ricinoleic acid and omega-9 fatty acids, castor oil is used for growth and inflammation. It is used widely in the make-up world as well as in alternative medical therapy.
