Eyebrow Shaping for a Great Summer Outdoors
Summer is here, which probably means you’ll be spending a lot more time outdoors and out in public. Of course, you would like to look your best, but sometimes our eyebrows just won’t play along. This is why many women opt to go for professional eyebrow shaping. If you are curious about professional eyebrow shaping, but unsure as you’ve heard the phrase “microblading”, which frankly sounds more intimidating than it actually is, you’ll be happy to know that there are a variety of techniques that can be applied to tame your brows.
Eyebrow Shaping Techniques
Perhaps the most common way of shaping eyebrows is plucking, which involves pulling out individual hairs one by one with tweezers. We recommend that you only use this method for stray hairs as we all know the consequences of over-plucking (rest in peace high school eyebrows). This is why threading has become a very popular technique. It works similarly to plucking, but rows of hair can be tackled at once, which is much more efficient. If you want a method that lasts longer and leaves skin smooth, then waxing would probably be the best option.
For more permanent results, microblading and tinting are better. As intimidating as microblading sounds, it’s fairly painless and, though it does use a needle, it barely penetrates the skin as it draws realistic-looking hair onto your brow lines. This can last for up to two years and requires little maintenance. Tinting is also semi-permanent, but only lasts for six weeks. It uses a dye to fill in colour and shape on your brow line. It’s more often used for people who have very light eyebrow hair and wish to make their eyebrows more visible and defined.
