Eye Make-Up with Face to Face

Make Up - EyesMore Views on Eye Make-Up

Eyes are exceptionally important. When they are injured or impaired, blindness may result. Eye health and correct care is vitally important to preserve these incredible organs, which are also extremely distinctive, especially when made up well.

Short, Professional Eye Make-Up Courses

Nowadays, one seldom encounters a modern, well-groomed woman who does not wear eye make-up, but unfortunately, they include a few ladies who have not mastered the basic art of tasteful eye make-up application. Fortunately, these skills are taught by professional lecturers during Face to Face Beauty and Make-up Design School’s short, modular make-up and beauty courses, now held at the new academy premises in Houghton, Johannesburg.

Helpful Hints about Eye Make-Up Products

Facial skin is particularly sensitive, but even more so, the skin around your eyes. Special care should be taken with this delicate area when cleansing, nourishing, and applying eye make-up.

  • Use mild products, which are designed specifically for the fragile eye area, and are ophthalmologically, hypoallergenically, and dermatologically tested to avoid adverse reactions.
  • Dabbing motions with the fourth fingertip, a soft brush, or sponge applicator are the gentlest means of applying or blending eye make-up. Rubbing vigorously may stretch delicate skin, creating premature wrinkles.
  • In addition to a mirror, brushes, sponges, and other applicators and blenders, a basic everyday eye make-up kit should include eyelid primer, a concealer, at least two eyeshadows – one light, capable of highlighting, and the other in a more obvious or darker shade, but ideally, three or four colours. Also include an eyeliner pencil and possibly a liquid or gel eyeliner, mascara, and an eyebrow pencil or eyebrow powder to fill in tiny gaps between brow hairs, as well as emphasise brows, which frame the face and balance its features.
  • Do not forget to have a tweezer in your eye make-up bag. Even if you have your eyebrows professionally shaped, a tweezer is a must-have to keep your brows neat, in line, and tidy between beauty treatments.

Eye make-up trends come and go. Learn how to make the most of your eyes with safe, modern eye make-up products, adapted to suit your own personal look, and you will always look great, through beautiful bright eyes.
