When you get married, there are many things you need to do, such as find a venue and dress, choose a hairstyle from the endless options available, get your wedding Pinterest boards ready if you haven’t already, decide who to invite, send out invitations, choose a cake, bridesmaid’s dresses, and menu, get a caterer, plan a honeymoon, decide how you want your make-up to be done, find a photographer, etc.
Your checklist can quickly start to seem overwhelming and never-ending. While we cannot help you with a venue, menu, or seating chart, we can help when it comes to your make-up.
Here is a quick checklist that you can follow to make sure yours is one thing you do not have to worry about on your day.
- Get examples of how you want your make-up to be done
- Find a make-up artist who can apply it on the day, or if you are doing your own, watch tutorials that will show you various ways of achieving a flawless look.
- Book a test run or start practising beforehand. You don’t want your wedding day to be the first time you test out your look. Weeks or even months before the wedding, book an appointment with your make-up artist, so you can see what it looks like and so you have time to change anything you do not like.
- Make sure you start with the best canvas possible. If your skin is as healthy as can be, it will look even better. Follow a healthy diet, develop a good skincare routine, perhaps go for a few facials, and get enough sleep before your big day to ensure that your skin will be as healthy as possible and you can be the glowing bride you have always wanted to be.
