Nail Courses in South Africa
Professional Nail Courses from a Leading College in South Africa
Modern nail care courses in South Africa are as good as or better than many of those which you’ll encounter anywhere else in the world. However, this does depend on where one studies, their reputation and standards, the curriculum, and most importantly, the recognition and accreditation of the institution.
Check First for the Best
Before enrolling for a nail or other beauty course in South Africa (or anywhere else in the world), it’s not only wise to check on the aspects mentioned; it’s essential, especially if you don’t want to waste your time and money, rather receiving the best, as you would at our exclusive college.
Secure Your Options
No one deliberately chooses to pay fees, study diligently, work hard, and look forward to the day of graduation, only to find that the programme and qualification to which they dedicated their efforts, is barely worth the paper on which it’s printed. Make certain that the nail course for which you enrol in South Africa is presented by an appropriately accredited academy, then rest assured that your options are secured.
Types of Options
• Work locally and/or internationally, travel, see the world, experience different cultures and expand your experience and the content of you CV.
• Earn a living abroad and save in foreign currency, especially when the South African Rand exchange rate favours this.
• Manage a professional nail bar or start your own business.
• See the world by sea, working on board a cruise liner as a dedicated nail technician.
• Work in partnership with an image consultant or make-over artist.
• Freelance and network with fashion, photographic and magazine industry professionals.
South African Part-time Nail Course Study Solutions
Hands and feet are unique, more sensitive with a multitude of nerve endings, blood vessels, small bones, ligaments and muscles. They’re also easily injured and damaged, while nails, especially those on the toes, may be prone to fungal and other infections.
Natural Nail Manicures and Pedicures
It is imperative that everyone performing professional pedicures and manicures has a thorough knowledge of hands and feet, how to treat them, their physiology and anatomy, particularly when dealing with natural nails.
The duration of this part-time course is 7-10 intensive lessons, after which a certificate is issued to successful students. After learning professional trolley/bed setup, consultation techniques, treatment customisation, progression, planning and aftercare, learners are taught correct manicure and pedicure procedures and techniques, including filing, cuticle care, exfoliation, callus removal, massage, hot oil and paraffin wax treatments, painting and French painting.
Develop all the required skills and techniques required of a professional South African nail technician, including all important personal qualities which will be essential for your success. Our part-time diploma course extends over 10-15 lessons.
Upon graduation, you’ll have the theoretical knowledge and practical skills to work with gel, acrylic and silk/fibre nails, how to extend and care for them, the anatomy of the natural nail beneath and contra-indications which should be recognised prior to performing any treatments. This also includes skin disorders/diseases.
Reaching for Beautiful Nails
Today, with professional assistance, beautiful nails are within the reach of every woman in South Africa and the demand for the services of graduates who’ve completed one or more of our comprehensive nail courses is great and growing.
