Register Now for 2015 Roodepoort Beauty Academy Intake!

If you are serious about creating a professional career for yourself in the competitive beauty industry, you should be equally serious in your choice of institution at which to study, and that is why we recommend that you register to enrol at our long established, premier college, either to attend the Johannesburg or Roodepoort campus. Although our first campus was established in the Johannesburg suburb of Parktown, we took the decision to create a second, equally outstanding facility in Helderkruin, Roodepoort, due to the development and expansion this area and the increased demand for registered and accredited beauty courses to be presented there. West Rand and Roodepoort  For many years, this city was part of the West Rand and is still seen as such by residents and visitors alike, although it was incorporated into the greater City of Johannesburg’s Metropolitan Municipality in the 1990s, when municipal boundaries were redrawn. The Witwatersrand was so named when the major gold bearing reef was discovered in what was to become Johannesburg. It was found that the reef extended westwards, where the Struben brothers, Fred and Harry, discovered gold deposits in 1884. A lovely, picturesque valley just outside Roodepoort still bears their name to this day. Confidence Reef, as they named their claim, was not particularly profitable, but George Harrison’s Langlaagte Reef nearby resulted in a gold rush in the area. The shanty settlement was declared as the Roodepoort Municipality in 1903, and the town achieved city status only in 1977. Its suburbs, especially those situated on the hills around the city, have become extremely sought after by residents and astute investors alike. Helderkruin is one such suburb, the ideal location for our second beauty school campus. The College  In addition to being the longest established specialist beauty, make-up design and special effects college in this country, students who qualify at our institution are assured that their achievements are recognised and accredited locally and internationally, providing that all relevant modules are successfully completed. Equipment and facilities are up to date and state of the art, whilst the optimal teacher/pupil ratio supports in-depth training. Lecturers and trainers are qualified, highly experienced and experts in their respective fields, whilst they have the skill and passion to share their knowledge with learners. Uniforms worn by students are smart and chic, so that these ladies perform as professionally as they look and feel, invaluable qualities for when they are ready to start practising their profession in earnest. Our graduates have career opportunities aplenty – locally and internationally.  Be Ready for 2015  Online enrolments are accepted, but you may prefer to visit Roodepoort campus to register, meet our registrar and have all your questions answered on site, right where you will take the first step in your future professional beauty career.

I am the designated photographer for the only internationally and nationally accredited make-up training institution which is celebrating is 52 years of operation. I love to experiment with the power of photography, specialising in conceptual & fashion, although I love shooting anything that challenges me. I shoot on location but also have my own studio situated in Parktown, Johannesburg.
