Professional Make Up Johannesburg
Johannesburg’s Elite Professional Make Up Academy
If you take a walk through any of Johannesburg’s busy shopping malls and other locations where lots of people congregate, you’ll find few women who are completely devoid of make up. It’s very likely that some of them have received training in the art of cosmetic application or had their faces made up by a professional make up artist at least once, probably prior to attending a special occasion or as part of an image consulting make-over.
Wearing make up has become an integral part of most Johannesburg’s women’s daily beauty routine, even if it’s just a touch of foundation, a light application of mascara and a hint of colour on the lips. Some may be under the impression that applying anything more is too difficult and beyond their capability, best left in the skilled hands of a professionally trained beautician, but it’s a skill which can be learned.
At Johannesburg’s longest established exclusive beauty, make up design and special effects academy, we’ve been training professional beauty practitioners for more than 50 years. During this time, our make up design & artistry, beauty & fashion, and part-time make up courses have consistently proved to be particularly popular.
Part-time courses suit a variety of learners – those who wish to improve their make up skills (even amateurs), and others who’d like to have the opportunity to offer their clients something extra, which in turn extends their earning potential.
The range of part-time courses on offer includes those for special occasion make up, fast fashion hairstyling, customary airbrush make up, fast fashion hairstyling (including special occasion make up) and image consulting, which also includes the special occasion component.
Versatile airbrush make up, when applied professionally, provides outstanding smooth, even and complete coverage, and is perfect for facial contouring, shaping, shading and colour application. It even extends to small areas like the lips, eyebrows, and the creation of temporary tattoos or covering traditional tattoos (usually a tricky problem, but not when done with modern airbrush techniques).
Three essential types of cosmetic application are incorporated in this interesting course – those suited to daytime and evening occasions, plus special bridal make up. Learn all about each face shape, skin tone, eyelash application, fashion influence and a flawless finish.
Dual Campus Facilities
Initially, we operated from one campus in Johannesburg, but the demand for recognised, and nationally and internationally accredited professional training became so great that we extended our services to include a second campus, situated in the Roodepoort suburb of Helderkruin – ideal for learners residing in the north western suburbs.
Expert Academic Staff
Lecturers and academic staff members at both campuses count amongst South Africa’s top specialists in their respective fields, passionate about their subjects and eager to pass on their knowledge and expertise to students, whilst employing the latest world-class techniques, technologies and products.
The ratio of teachers to students is exceptionally low, ensuring that learners receive all the personal attention that they require in order to achieve success.
Whether it’s a professional decision or you want to make the most of your own beauty on a daily basis, contact us to find out when you can commence your make up training at our elite academy in Johannesburg.
